Quality Education

Students have been impacted by the last two years. We need to address academic learning loss and improve academic standards to prepare our students for life beyond the classroom.  We can help students and teachers achieve success by focusing on core subjects, strengthening social and emotional learning, and incorporating career technology education and STEM programs.

Campus Safety

From ebike safety to school campus security, we need to create safe, stable learning environments for our entire community.  Best practices for safety and mental health awareness on campus are evolving.  We need to keep an eye on emerging ideas for the best way to protect students and staff on a daily basis.  It is important to continue to support and develop parent education and student awareness opportunities.

A Voice For Parents

As a wellness educator, a CUSD parents of two boys, and an active parent volunteer in the district and community for 18 years, I know firsthand how important it is to bring parents to the table to collaborate with educators and administrators.  Parents know their children best.  They have witnessed firsthand the emotional distress and learning loss experienced over the past two years.  Let's bring back students by listening to parents.

Fiscal Responsibility

Our ability to meet academic goals, provide expanded career pathways, support students and staff, as well as serve as responsible stewards of taxpayer funds stems from the budget we create.  We need to attract students back to our district, who we lost during the recent school closures, in order to avoid a shrinking budget so students and staff have every opportunity for success.
